Snow Day December 18th

Mom and Dad worked from home, we hear news that they will be going back to the office tomorrow, Ginger and I love all of the freedom.

Birthday Wishes

I got a birthday wish from my Sis Cedar this week. I can hardly believe that we are two years old, we turned two on the 16th of November. Mom got me a new collar and a new yellow duck and we had a birthday donut just for dogs from "Simply Fetching" I love the fact that I still hang out with my dog family. Family is important to me, my human family and my dog family. I am most happy when we are all together.

My Nephew Dash is visiting me this week..

Dash and I play and play he came here on Tuesday Election Day. I voted for McCain, Ginger voted for Ombama so we cancelled out each other votes ... O.K. we know we can't really vote, we are dogs, but we vote for more food and treats!

Dash is great we have not naped now for 6 days we spend 8 hours a day making noise at each other and rolling it is great fun! We sleep 9 hours at night we are so tired.

Dash, Ginger and I all took a nap today! Mom and Dad decided us boys should go on a bunny hunt I showed Dash how to sniff the bunnies which he did, but we found no bunnies but we had great fun and after 45 min we were tired! So we came home and hung out with Ginger she stayed home she did not want to go for a walk so... we all piled on top of each other and took a nap, it reminded me of my days of being in a litter.

Dash will be here for a few more days and I will be sad to see him go, it has been so much fun for us to play the way boys do!

No Blue Ribbon

It was a hot weekend, I had to keep wet towels around me. I was in Enumclaw all weekend at the Dachshund Speciality and the Olympic Kennel Dog Show. It was great I stayed with my dog family in the RV for the weekend. My Mom came and saw me each day after I was done showing. I came in 4th Friday and Saturday and last place on Sunday. I hear news around the house that I will now be concentrating my field trials and earth dogging so this is good news for me I love to hunt. Mom also picked up scissors this weekend, and told me she will be grooming me until my Stylist Sabrina is back to work, I miss Sabrina but at least I have my Mom to try and clip my hair, hmmm I hope it goes O.K.

I went earthdogging this weekend it was so much fun! I have got the tunnels down now really well and I can go 30 feet under ground! So now all i have to do is work above ground with rats to learn to bark at them, I like to do the death stair. No points this weekend but I had fun and now I know what to work on. Freddie

I will be going to the Washington Coast for the first time in my life.

The Show Ring

Fred was at the Puyallup Dog Show, he got Reserve. Which for those of you that are not "show folks" that is runner-up.

Marti does a great job showing Fred. Fred loves going to the shows and had a great time. He is looking to three more shows coming up and is hoping to get 1st place.

I did not pass this time but I had a great time in Castle Rock. I was on my feet from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.! I slept from 9:00 pm on Saturday until Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

I sniffed the bunny trail then I had to go find my Mom to show her what I was doing, and that disqualified me.

Rabbit Hunting

Today was Memorial Day, my Dad was home, Mom had to go to work. Gingy and I just basically just laid around all day then around 6:00 p.m. Dad said lets go Fred.. hm I thought what is he up to... We went for a walk approx. 2.5 miles from our house to the Wilderness Village Starbucks, we went the back woods. Dad took me off trail and helped me search for rabbits. The first Rabbit was "Stealth" I did not see it but it was there... Dad showed me and said huh?? Then he found some baby bunnies in the bushes and showed me and I chased them, then on my own I was sniffing in the bushes and I tracked down my own bunnies all on my own!! I hear Mom keep saying I have "field championship blood lines". Well I think I am more prepared for my first field trial on Saturday! A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go... Fun Things for Me!

I found out yesterday that Mom and Dad are taking me field trialing I can hardly wait I get to hunt for bunnies. I also found out that I get to go to the Puyallup show in the breed ring one of my favorite things to do. I also lifted my leg tonight on the sofa and Mom yelled No No No and I think that was the first time I heard the word No, then Dad says that is why I do that no ever tells me No, I went off and chewed on my rawhide. I hear words of me wearing a belly band! I keep looking sorry so Mom won't put it on me! Opps I see the belly band I better run...

My Sister Ginger

My sister Ginger turned 10 not real sister she is smooth but we live in the same family so we are family! Yesterday she got confused twice and did not know where she was for a moment.

My family says it's my job to take care of her so I watch out for her, so far her signs are not bad enough to go and see Dr. Van. I have attached a picture of my Sis and my Mom and Dad from the party.
